Islam teaches that kindness is not limited to people. 🐾 In Sahih al-Bukhari 6009, the Prophet ﷺ explained that there is a reward for serving every living being. The hadith tells of a man who gave water to a thirsty dog, and Allah rewarded his compassionate act. Even a small act of mercy toward an animal can carry great spiritual value. Let kindness, compassion, and care become part of our daily lives. ❤️

Aisha (RA) reported that the Prophet ﷺ would lean on her lap and recite the Qur’an while she was menstruating. This authentic narration, recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari 297, highlights the Prophet’s ﷺ tenderness and closeness toward his family. More than 1,400 years ago, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught Muslims to cover the mouth while yawning. Centuries later, researchers including Andrew C. Gallup and Omar T. Eldakar explored whether yawning may be connected to brain thermoregulation. Their research discussed evidence that yawning can be associated with changes in brain temperature—but this does not prove that science has discovered the complete wisdom behind the Sunnah.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that a woman’s permission should be sought before marriage. In Sahih Muslim 1419, the Prophet ﷺ said that a previously married woman should be consulted, while a virgin’s permission should be sought. This teaches an important principle: marriage should not simply be imposed without considering her willingness. Islam emphasizes dignity, consultation, and respect in such an important life decision.

During sujood, the body moves into a focused and peaceful posture. Research on Muslim prayer has found increased parasympathetic activity and reduced sympathetic activity during Salah—changes associated with relaxation. Small studies have also observed changes in brain activity after prostration. These findings are promising, but more research is needed to understand exactly how sujood itself affects the nervous system.

Anger can make us say things that we may regret later. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us a powerful lesson: when you are angry, be silent. Sometimes silence is not weakness—it is self-control, wisdom, and patience. Taking a moment before speaking can protect relationships and prevent hurtful words. This beautiful prophetic advice reminds us to control our anger instead of allowing anger to control us. May Allah grant us patience and a calm heart. Ameen.
