Want to hear something I've only shared with clients? I’ve been a sales & offer coach for 3 years and more than a Decade when you count my consulting days...
But in my corporate life, I used to run from any job and any project that wanted to make use of my "excellent sales skills".
I used to see my ability to make connections between what people wanted and what someone was offering (selling) as a skill some evil guy could use for nefarious gains.
So I hide it, ran from my natural talent, and translated compliments of 'your good at sales' into some secret language about manipulation and dirty tricks. Because that was the model and reputation of selling on a broad scale.
If I was good at this, there was something wrong with me or I could be used for bad. No thanks!
Luckily, I took my power back and made a CHOICE.
If I was so good at selling, and even top people were impressed, then I was going to REDEFINE SALES. I was going to create a new example and teach it in a new way.
Creating new vehicles for sales (including your written messaging, sales calls, masterclass invitations, and yes, quizzes) that would render the old models a cheap distant memory.
