The Annual Sports and Cultural Meet of the Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions was celebrated in a grand way in the Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium on January 11, 2008. This video presents the morning program of that memorable occasion. The Revered Chancellor of the University, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is led in His open car in a procession to the Shanti Vedika in a bright yellow robe. He then inaugurates the Sports Meet by lighting the sacred lamp. The program commences with the March Past, wherein students from all the educational Institutions of Bhagawan march past the stage where the Revered Chancellor is seated and offer their salute to Him. Then, the customary Sports Meet oath is administered to the participants. Bhagawan then ceremonially hoists the Institute's Flag, lights the Sports Torch, and releases white pigeons and balloons, amidst the thunderous applause of the spectators. Simultaneously, that year's unicorn mascot carries the Sports Torch uphill and lights the sports urn atop the hill. The Anantapur and Brindavan Campuses then present their sports and cultural events, including rhythmic formations and dances, motorbike stunts, and gymnastics. The program ends with Swami's blessings and Mangal Aarthi to Bhagawan.

On the auspicious occasion of the 82nd birthday celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Swami blessed several veteran devotees who have dedicated their lives to Him with the opportunity of anointing His beautiful locks with sacred oil to the background of sonorous Vedic chants. The program begins with a grand and royal procession leading Bhagawan from the Yajur Mandir to the Sai Kulwant Hall. Swami then cuts cakes made by the students and staff of His institutions. After the internationally renowned Carnatic duo Malladi brothers sing their specially composed birthday song "Bhagavanudu Puttina Panduga," Prof Anil K*mar addresses the gathering explaining the significance of the anointment ceremony and reminding devotees of the bygone days when Mother Easwaramma and Sri Pedda Venkappa Raju would receive this blessing. After the anointment ceremony, the Malladi brothers continue their uplifting concert as prasadam is distributed. In the evening, Swami grants darshan followed by an encore performance by the Malladi brothers and a special musical offering by the renowned ghazal singer Sri A Hariharan.

At 7:00 am on September 22 1997, the Poornavatar of the age, in fulfillment of the prophecy made by the great Sage Shuka, ascended the golden chariot and blessed thousands of devotees with this most glorious darshan. As the Lord of Lords rode around Prasanthi Nilayam in the shining chariot, the cries of "Jai Bolo Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Ji Ki Jai!" rang through the air as He showered each soul with His two blessing hands of grace and benediction. On the evening of July 18, 2002, the Sai young adults of New Jersey and New York were blessed to offer a special musical program at the Divine Lotus Feet in the Sai Kulwant Hall. Showcasing their talents in various genres and languages, they enthrall Swami and the vast gathering with their melodious voices and devotional fervor. At the end of the program, brother Neil Sharma expresses his gratitude to Bhagawan on behalf of the group for giving them this golden opportunity. In the morning, Bhagawan inaugurates the Sri Sathya Sai Drinking Water Project for Anantapur town in the Poornachandra Auditorium. The occasion was presided by the then Prime Minister of India Sri PV Narasimha Rao and the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri Chandrababu Naidu. After Vedam invocation by students of the Sri Sathya Sai Primary School, Dr. KR Prasad, member of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Sri K Chakravarthi, then Secretary of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust and manager of the Sri Sathya Sai Drinking Water Project, and Sri Chandrababu Naidu address the mammoth gathering. The Prime Minister then inaugurates the water project, upon which a live audio message is broadcast from the devotees of Anantapur who express their gratitude to Bhagawan for this Divine gift of love to them. After the Prime Minister's brief address, Bhagawan delivers His Divine Discourse in which He emphasizes the importance of selfless service, national unity, and cooperation with the government in all good work. In the evening, the students of Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas, SSSSO, India, present a drama on the childhood leelas of Lord Krishna in the Poornachandra Auditorium, much to the delight of Bhagawan and the devotees assembled.

This day marked a historic day, the first ever Ladies Day celebrated in the Divine Presence. Swami arrives in procession the Poornachandra Auditorium in a glisteneing golden-yellow robe, with a large group of long-time Mahila devotees following Him also in gold...truly a sight for the gods! After enjoying bhajans sung by the lady devotees, Prof Jayalakshmi Gopinath addresses the crowd, offering her gratitude to Swami for this honor bestowed on all women of the world. Swami then distributes cows to several of the ladies as a token of His love and respect for them. In the evening, Vedic invocation by students of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Anantapur campus, is followed by talks by Smt. Sarla Shah, Justice Padma Kastagir, Smt. Nirapama Prasad, Prof Jayalakshmi Gopinath, and Mrs. Raghubir Kaur. Swami then delivers His Divine Discourse, explaining the value of women in upholding Dharma in society and their responsibility in shaping future generations of ideal citizens. After His Discourse, a balvikas student, K*m. Anuradha, presents a short dance recital at His Lotus Feet. This is followed by a cultural presentation led by Smt. Anjali Devi and Smt. P Susheela.

November 22, 1995 (1:06:06-1:28:51)
On the occasion of the 14th Convocation of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning at the Hill View Stadium, Bhagawan arrives in procession in a royal red robe alongside the then Finance Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, as well as the faculty and governing body of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. The then Vice Chancellor of the institute Dr. K Hanumanthappa administers the convocation oath, after which Swami distributes gold medals and PhD degrees to the deserving candidates. Dr. Manmohan Singh then delivers his convocation address, followed by Swami's Divine Discourse wherein He stresses the need for a strong character which alone can make make a human being truly educated and a society prosper. The function ends with the singing of the Indian national anthem and Bhagawan's departure from the stadium.

On Augst 21st 1995, the wives of the staff of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning and the lady teachers of the Sri Sathya Sai Primary School arranged for a Shashtipoorti in the Divine Presence of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This is a traditional ritual wherein husbands who have reached the age of 60 are remarried to their spouses as a symbol of the couple's shift in focus from worldly pursuits to the spiritual goal of life. This being the 70th year of the avatar, 70 couples were chosen from Puttaparthi and nearby villages to receive the blessing of participating in this ceremony at His Lotus Feet. Swami is on His feet the whole time, and spends extra time at the end of the function blessing each couple individually as they exit the Sai Kulwant Hall in procession.

This 1 hr video shows glimpses of the conclusion of the Maha Shivarathri Akhanda Bhajans held in the Divine Presence of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in the Poornachandra Auditorium on Feb 18, 1996. It is truly a sight for the gods to see our Sayeeshwara seated as if within a Shivalingam on the dais! After granting a round of blissful Darshan around the auditorium and listening to a few bhajans, Swami delivers His Divine Discourse, emphasizing the importance of Namasmarana as the easiest and most blissful means of reaching God. He speaks about the glory of ancient Indian culture which is based on the principles of unity, devotion, and spirituality.
