🎤 Prof. Dr. Katalin Prokai Tatrai is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, USA. Her interests lie in innovative, multidisciplinary and highly-complex projects focusing on medicinal chemistry-driven drug design and delivery into the central nervous system. She has numerous publications within the fields of medicinal/organic and analytical chemistry, drug delivery, pharmaceutical analyses and mass-spectrometry based proteomics.

Additionally, her research is focused on Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery, especially the early stages of the process: computational studies, synthesis, characterisation and biological screening of new pharmacologically active compounds based on different heterocyclic scaffolds.

His academic research has broadened the understanding of glucagon and incretin physiology and pioneered the discovery of single molecule multi-mechanism agonists for the treatment of diabetes and obesity.
