The new assembly is coming along. Spent some welding and cleaning up my less than stellar welds 🤣. Counter sunk the speed holes, did some filing and sanding. All of the shifter arm slop from the existing assembly has been eliminated with this new set up.

Well, no bears to be seen. But…The absence of distractions up in the tree stand gave me plenty of time to reflect on aspects of my life that I often allow to be overshadowed by the noise of daily life. My freezer isn’t full of meat, but somehow, it’s still a pretty good trade off if you ask me.
