BUILDING COLLAPSE IN LIFECAMP: FCT POLICE, NEMA & PARTNERS RESCUE VICTIM AFTER 10 HOURS UNDER RUBBLE Tragedy struck in the Lifecamp area of Abuja on Saturday evening (August 2nd) as a three-storey building collapsed, prompting an emergency response from multiple agencies. The FCT Police Command, led by the Lifecamp Divisional Police Officer, swiftly mobilized rescue teams to the scene in coordination with NEMA, FCTA Development Control, Zeberced Construction, and Julius Berger. After nearly 10 hours of intense rescue efforts, a 27-year-old man identified as Aliyu Salisu, a citizen of Niger Republic, was pulled alive from the rubble around 4:00 AM on Sunday. He is currently receiving treatment at Cedar Crest Hospital and is responding well. Commissioner of Police, CP Ajao S. Adewale, was present at the scene and commended the collaborative efforts of all first responders and members of the community who supported the operation.
