Pinterest is a great way to build your brand and connect with customers who are interested in your products or services. However, if you're just starting out with Pinterest, it can be difficult to get started and figure out how to use Pinterest effectively. For many Pinterest maybe frustrating, confusing and sometime overwhelming. With the changes in the algorithm and strategies there's all the more reason to be confused about.

You can use these Top 10 Tips to increase your traffic, leads and sales by using Pinterest as an effective marketing channel for your business.

1. Experiment with different Pin Formats. Idea pins are used for building awareness for your profile and boost your following. You may also try Video pins as teaser to get someone click on your link.
2. Create Fresh Pins. Fresh meaning a new design, text overlay, pin title and description. You can recycle the latter with a few word changes, but try to add a new design and text overlay.
3. Pin Design Best Practices.
4. Pin Fresh Pins. It is okay to re-pin your pins but to pin fresh pins daily, you avoid the perception of being a spammer.
5. Pin to a maximum of 10 boards.
6. A minimum 2-day interval before re-pinning a Pin.
7. Pin one fresh pin per link per day.
8. Focus on the text on the Pin
9. Create Content for Pinterest Users. 10.Consider what people are interested in reading about for your blog niche.
