The Ostrich.

Such a fascinating bird, found mostly in Sub-Saharan Africa.

It is the largest bird in the world, weighing as much as 140kg, and thus, it should not be surprising that this has made it lose its ability to fly (becoming a so-called flightless bird).

This bird that can grow as tall as 9 feet also lays the largest eggs of any living land animal.

With its long legs, it can reach 90 km/h when running with its huge feet, making it one of the fastest animals on land.

Perhaps most fascinating is that it’s the only bird with two toes on each foot and uses them for deadly effect – it can kill a lion with just one kick.
