🏆 Transit Unplugged TV Wins a Telly Award! 🎥🚆

We’re proud to share that Transit Unplugged TV has earned a Bronze Telly Award in the General – Travel & Tourism category for our episode:

📍 How Do I Get There? Washington DC

This recognition feels especially meaningful because the Washington, DC episode represented a creative evolution for our show.

Built around a simple question — “How do I get there?” — the episode followed the rider journey across the nation’s capital, exploring how public transportation connects visitors and residents to iconic destinations, culture, history, food, and everyday experiences.

The episode featured a conversation with Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA)(Metro Forward) CEO Randy Clarke, while taking viewers through multiple modes of mobility across Washington, DC in a more immersive way than ever before.

For this production, we also experimented with a more cinematic, documentary-inspired storytelling style. We expanded our visual approach by bringing in talented cinematographer Sophie Cuadra, whose work alongside Jaime Cuadra of Quadra Audiovisuals helped shape a richer and more immersive visual experience.

🎬 A huge congratulations to our amazing team:

🎤 Paul Comfort – Host & Producer
🎥 Jaime Cuadra – Director of Photography, Music Composer, Video Editor
🎥 Sophie Cuadra – Cinematographer
🎙️ Julie Gates – Executive Producer
🎬 Cyndi Raskin – Associate Producer

The Telly Awards, established in 1979, recognize excellence in video and television across all screens and receive more than 13,000 entries globally each year. We’re honored to be recognized alongside organizations such as BBC, Disney, PBS/Ken Burns, and South Park.

This marks our second Telly Award, and we’re deeply grateful to our over 11,000,000 total YouTube viewers, partners, transit agencies, and everyone who continues riding along with us as we tell stories of mobility, culture, and connection around the world. ❤️
