RAINS LEAVE P99.8-M DAMAGE TO AGRI & INFRA IN PANGASINAN.⚡

Pangasinan, July 26 -- Heavy rainfall brought by the southwest monsoon (habagat) enhanced by Typhoon Carina left an initial PHP99.8 million damage to agriculture and infrastructure in Pangasinan, and affected around 12,637 families or 44,483 individuals in La Union.

In a phone interview on Friday, Pangasinan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Emergency Operations Center Assistant Director Pia Flores said the initial cost of damage was pegged at PHP8.8 million for agriculture and PHP91 million for infrastructure.

Based on an 11 a.m. report Friday, damage to high-value commercial crops was at PHP4.3 million, while PHP1.9 million for palay.

Meanwhile, dilapidated asphalt pavement and spillways suffered the most damage among infrastructures.

"Chosen by the fans on our official Miss Universe app, Philippines is taking home the costume vote for this incredible outfit! 🛩️" Miss Universe announced in an Instagram post on Friday.

Despite her strong campaign, Dee concluded her journey as one of the Top 10 finalists.

She also received the “Spirit of Carnival” award and was also one of the Gold winners of the "Voice of Change" special awards, along with Angola and Puerto Rico, for her autism acceptance, inclusivity, and empowerment advocacy.
