What The MongolZ has achieved isn't just a runners up finish in the biggest Esport event in Counter-Strike, it's proof of what a dedicated scene can achieve, even from isolated regions.

Roughly 3.5 million people, geographically in the middle of nowhere, playing with high latency between continents, and still they managed to achieve something no other Asian team in CS history was ever close to. In the process, they united the country under an unlikely banner, E-Sports. Most of the country stayed up until 6AM to watch 5 of their own play a high-stakes video game.

They are a case-study of how a small, isolated country can produce the greatest athletes in gaming. They created hope for all of Asia. Maybe we can learn something from their dedication instead of ruining the domestic scene from infighting and greed.
