A terminal ill fan of Borderlands got to play Borderlands 4 earlier this year. Gearbox flew Caleb McAlphine and his friend down to the company’s offices in Texas where he got to experience a playable build of the game.

"I don’t know if I will be around when the game comes out, but I just want to say thank you to all of you for all of your love and support and for helping in making this happen." Caleb wrote in his post.
