Tragedy Strikes Bwera Secondary School

A S.4 candidate suddenly passed on last night, shocking the school community and the country at large

- The student attended her first UCE exams yesterday
- Complained of noise in the dormitory during prep
- Rushed to Bwera Hospital, where she was pronounced Dead

OBR launches a policy guideline on family and gender relations.

The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has partnered with International Justice Mission to set policy guidelines that will end the voilation of women and childrens rights as it was in the traditional way of life.

During the launching activity that was held at Rwenzori International hotel in Kasese town that was officiated by His Majesty Omusinga Charlse Wisely, he said that that its high time the subjects in the Obusinga abandone the past traditions that included voilation of women and childrens rights in the society.

He continued to ask the subjects to mind educating their children so that their life is protected.

In his remarks he also abandoned the suicidal cases that have been reported in kingdom especially among the youths.

In his remarks Mrs. Wamaiba Kimani the Country director for international justice mission siad that as the advocating organization, they realised that women in Rwenzori region have been voilated where 1538 cases were recorded in 2023 that ranked Kasese as the second position in Uganda.

She therefore said that by December 2022 they resolved to begin the fight against voilance of women and children in Kasese.

Joseph Kule Muranga the OBR prime minister said that the policy came on the right time as in the past the subjects were still beleiving in the norms of their ancestors.

For you who don't know him, he's the man who struggled to get Bughendera counstituency.. Remember as you know the tribal politics in Bundibugyo district , some people had refused the creation of bughendera county.
The late was arrested and imprisoned .
