It was a celebration of a life well spent on Saturday, 28th January, as the Jegede family laid to final rest the body of their Matriarch, Mrs. Olutola Caroline Jegede.

Friends and families joined the children to celebrate the departure to glory of Mama at the Arcade Ground, Akure after Church Service at St. Davids Cathedral, Akure.

The Jegede family of Akure kingdom commenced the burial services of their Matriarch, Mrs. Olutola Caroline Jegede, with a line-in-state of Mama's body at the family residence after which the Christian wake-keep was observed at St. Thomas Anglican Event Hall, Akure.

The Christian wake service which was presided over by Ven. Timothy Opekujero was at the instance of Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu, H.E Lucky Ayedatiwa, Chief Olugbenga Ale, Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, Arc. Sodiq Obanoyen, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, Sen. Samuel Anyanwu, Hon. Fatai Adams, Barr. Oluseye Olujimi, Mrs Funmilayo Mustapha, amongst others.

The burial service continues tomorrow, 28th January, with Church service at St. Davids Cathedral, Akure, follow by reception at the Arcade ground, Akure.
