This week’s episode is going to be a Patreon upload because I, Megan, got sick as we were leaving Boston and I had no voice. Of course it happened when Lindsay was also going to be gone and I was in charge of recording all by myself. This case is insane and thank you for your patience and support!!

Hello our lovely listeners! Lindsay and I want to bring to light the people who have gone missing, never to be seen again. We hope to get information out to the public and maybe.....just maybe someone will have a clue that could solve a case, bring home a loved one, or at the very least give the families an answer. This is the first installment of " MISSING MONDAYS with SINNERS AMONG SAINTS"

We are going to start with Utah's oldest missing persons/cold case. This is Reed Jeppson, he disappeared on October 11, 1964 at the age of 15 after he went out to feed his dogs near his home. He was last seen near St. Mary of the Wasatch on the east bench of Salt Lake City walking his dogs. He was wearing blue Levi jeans, a white cotton knit shirt, and a reversable parka (black on one side, blue on the other). One person of interest was a local doctor with a history of alleged abuse towards children but there was never enough evidence to arrest him. If you or anyone you know has even the smallest amount of information please call Salt Lake City police at 801-799-3000. If Reed was alive today he would be 74 years old.

If you live in the Michigan area please check this out and support little Rowan’s life. Filicide is when a parent takes the life of their own child. This happens about 500 times every year within the United States and it needs to stop!

Episode 145: The Strange Death of Michael Cochran

Michael Cochran, a 38‑year‑old from Beckley, West Virginia, died unexpectedly in February 2019, initially believed to be from a medical condition after exhibiting severe brain swelling and dangerously low blood sugar. Subsequent investigation revealed his wife, Natalie Cochran—a former pharmacist—had been running a $2 million Ponzi scheme through a fake government contracting company they had started together. Prosecutors allege Natalie poisoned him with an insulin injection to prevent him from learning the truth before a critical investor meeting. In November 2021, after Natalie had already received an 11‑year federal sentence for fraud, authorities exhumed Michael’s body. Forensic pathologist Dr. Paul Uribe testified that the evidence pointed to homicide by exogenous insulin administration. The defense countered that due to decomposition, the cause was “undetermined and undeterminable” and suggested Michael may have self‑administered insulin for bodybuilding. On January 29, 2025, a jury convicted Natalie of first‑degree murder. She was sentenced to life in prison without parole, concluding a tragic chain of deception motivated by financial ruin.

Episode 144: Torrey Pines
In 1978, 15-year-old Barbara Nantais was brutally murdered on Torrey Pines State Beach in San Diego, California, while camping with her boyfriend, Jim Alt, who was severely injured but survived. She was beaten, strangled, sexually assaulted, and mutilated. The case went cold due to insufficient evidence. Six years later, in 1984, 14-year-old Claire Hough, visiting from Rhode Island, was found murdered on the same beach with similar injuries—strangled, sexually assaulted, and mutilated. In 2012, DNA evidence linked Claire’s murder to Ronald Tatro, a convicted ra**st, and Kevin Brown, a former San Diego Police Department criminalist. Tatro died in 2011, and Brown died by su***de in 2014 before charges were filed, amid claims of possible evidence contamination. Despite similarities, police concluded the murders were not connected. Barbara’s killer remains unidentified, and both cases remain unresolved, leaving lasting grief for the victims’ families.

Episode 143 Judy Buenoano // The Black Widow

Judy Buenoano (born Judias Anna Lou Welty in Texas on April 4, 1943) was an American serial killer, infamously dubbed “the Black Widow.” She was convicted of murdering her first husband, son, and attempting to kill her fiancé—primarily for financial gain through life insurance payouts. Her crimes culminated in a trio of convictions—including two murders and one attempted murder—and she paid with her life in Florida’s electric chair.
