The route takes you through undulating hills, offering breathtaking vistas of cascading waterfalls, dense forests, and terraced fields adorned with vibrant flowers. The road winds through the enchanting Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, where you may catch glimpses of exotic flora and fauna, including various species of birds, deer, and even elephants.

The Darjeeling Mahakal Temple, also known as the Mahakal Mandir or Mahakal Temple, is a significant religious landmark in the scenic hill station of Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. The temple is positioned atop the observatory hill at an altitude of around 7,000 feet, affording stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the town below.

The Darjeeling Mahakal Temple is very important to both locals and visitors since it is devoted to Lord Shiva, one of Hinduism's most adored deities. The temple is thought to be one of Darjeeling's oldest religious establishments, dating back to the early 18th century.

As you approach the temple, you'll notice a huge entrance covered with beautiful carvings and vibrant murals depicting numerous legendary scenes.
