The latest "𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧" job performance assessment by RPMD Foundation Inc. (RPMD) highlights 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐨𝐧 of Candon City as the top-performing City Mayor in the Ilocos Region, earning an impressive 90.3% satisfaction rating. Closely following in second place is 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐨𝐧 of Laoag City, with a strong performance score of 87.5%. 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐲𝐨𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 of San Carlos City secures the third spot, garnering an 86.1% approval rating from his constituents. In fourth place, 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐨𝐧 of Vigan City achieved an 84.6% score, while 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐨 𝐈𝐈𝐈 of Urdaneta City ranks fifth with an 82.2% rating.
Other top-performing City Mayors in the region include 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞 of Alaminos City, securing the sixth position with 80.4%, followed by 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐚 of Batac City in seventh with 77.3%. 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐳 of Dagupan City holds the eighth spot with a 75.8% rating, and 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐨 rounds out the rankings in ninth place, achieving a commendable 73.0%.
𝐃𝐫. 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐳, Global Affairs Analyst and Executive Director of RPMD praised the City Mayors of the Ilocos Region for their outstanding performance, stating they "deserve a pat on the back for a job well done." He highlighted Mayor Eric Singson's leadership as the region's top-performing mayor, demonstrating strong backing from his constituents. Martinez noted that although all mayors share similar responsibilities, Mayor Eric has stood out by identifying and addressing the key priorities of his community, ensuring their needs are met.
The RPMD survey for the Ilocos Region conducted July 1-10, 2024, for the second quarter, is a component of the nationwide "Boses ng Bayan" initiative, which gathered insights from 10,000 respondents. With a margin of error of +/-1% and a confidence level of 95%, the survey results accurately reflect the genuine sentiments and voices of the people in their respective cities.
