Should we come back with new episodes?? To be fully transparent; making a podcast is difficult! From finding time to record, to editing, to getting past the drag of low listenership, this s**t is hard! I realize we have a small community, but it’s a community nonetheless, of people who love sneakers as much as we do. Anyways, let us know, and in the meantime here’s my latest pick up! Another day another donation! We are SO proud to announce that we have dropped off the third lot of shoe donations from the Sneaker strolls sneaker drive! Eighty-five pairs of lightly worn shoes have been donated to the in St. Louis, Missouri. This could not have happened without the support of our listeners, our communities, and our loved ones.

The St. Patrick Center is a brilliant non-profit in St. Louis which provides opportunities for self-sufficiency and dignity to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Individuals and families build permanent, positive change in their lives through safe and affordable housing, sound mental and physical health, employment, and financial stability.

The numerous pairs of dress shoes will be given out to clients who need them for daily use, interviews, or work. There were also tons of very lightly worn sneakers and boots, which will be given to clients for everyday wear.

We are so grateful to everyone who donated!

Soles4Souls is an incredible not for profit that turns unwanted shoes and clothing into opportunity by going to waste and putting them to good use – providing relief, creating jobs, and empowering people to break the cycle of poverty. Their programs are focused on providing relief, fighting poverty, sustainability, and empowering women.

I’m the biggest sneaker head you could possibly meet; I tried on at least 75% of the drops this year, and I sadly didn’t hit once. Both of these shoes were not even sought after, and were from June 2019. This has been a disheartening year as I see all the resellers who hit and they don’t know a damn thing about shoes- they have the shoes posted for sale before they’re in hand. The SNKRS app is horrendous; this pandemic was the perfect opportunity for the app to capitalize; however, it has the worst UX of any app I’ve ever used, rewards bots/resellers over true sneaker heads, and is just overall flawed (ex. Says sold out immediately, is vulnerable to bots, etc.) I’m just a digital marketer, but I could improve the - On behalf of all sneaker heads, let’s start a conversation. I’d like to buy your shoes again, but I will not be any longer at this point. You’ve single handedly ruined collecting sneakers for me. How many people have to say this before something changes?

We are very proud to announce that the first lot of donations has been dropped off! 50 lightly worn pairs of kids’ shoes, with tons of life left in them, have been donated to the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition ( .adopt ) in St. Louis, Missouri. This could not have happened without the support of our listeners, our communities, and our loved ones.

The Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition is an amazing not-for-profit in St. Louis that recruits foster/adoptive families, offers support to those families, and provides training to prospective foster/adoptive parents.
•
These shoes will be going towards supporting fostered & adoptive children this holiday season. We want to show them that THEY ARE LOVED!
