CHOOSE TO BELIEVE GOD
Apostle Paul declared, “I HAVE BELIEVED, THEREFORE I HAVE SPOKEN ” (2 CORINTHIANS 4:13). Faith begins in the heart, but it is released through what we choose to believe and boldly speak.
Romans 3:3-4 , "For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, LET GOD BE TRUE, BUT EVERY MAN A LIAR".
The question is not whether everyone believes, but whether we will step forward and stand firm in trusting GOD'S WORD. As Bible Scripture still reminds us: “Let God be true, but every man a liar” When we CHOOSE TO BELIEVE GOD ABOVE every doubt, fear, and circumstance, we step into the power of faith that transforms our lives.
CHOOSE TO BELIEVE GOD — Believe His Word, speak His Word, and release His Word into your life—and you shall surely see giants fall, just as Goliath fell. Let's learn something from David's story of victory over Goliath:
The valley was silent except for the echo of a giant’s laughter.
For forty days, Goliath mocked an entire army. Armor clashed, soldiers stood ready—BUT NO ONE STEPPED FORWARD. His size was enough. His voice was so LOUD. Fear of even mention of Goliath was enough. Then a shepherd boy stepped forward into the valley. David carried no physical sword, BUT THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT.
No physical shield, but the shield of faith in His God. No armor forged by men, but the armor of God. Only a sling, and from the five smooth stones he chose one—and the Word of God.
While others saw all odds against them, David saw the promise in God’s Word–he believed God!
While others heard threats, David heard
Victory. And David answered not with metal, but with faith in God:
“You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts…” — 1 Samuel 17:45
While Israel saw David as small and untrained, David knew who he was in the inner man:
“Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” — 1 John 4:4
While others forgot the God who had delivered them in generations past, David remembered the testimonies of faith and declared:
“The battle is the Lord’s.” — 1 Samuel 17:47
David knew that anyone who defied the living God had already fallen:
“FOR WHO IS THIS UNCIRCUMCISED PHILISTINE, THAT HE SHOULD DEFY THE ARMIES OF THE LIVING GOD?” — 1 SAMUEL 17:26
The battle was decided before the stone ever left the sling, because giants fall first in the spirit—before they fall to the ground.
The stone flew.
The giant fell.
But the real victory was this:
One Word was greater than one warrior.
“And whose report will you believe?” — Isaiah 53:1
“.....Let God be true, and every man a liar.” — Romans 3:3–4
By faith David believed the Word.
By faith he spoke the Word.
By faith he released the Word—and the giant fell.
LET'S PRAY
Lord God in the Name of Jesus, help us to believe Your Word above every voice of fear, to speak Your Word with boldness, and to release Your Word into every valley we face today. Let every giant standing before us fall—not by our strength, but by Your eternal power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
