Air Seychelles Enhances Connectivity with Inaugural Direct Flights to Réunion

Air Seychelles, in collaboration with Tourism Seychelles, is excited to announce the launch of seasonal flights between Seychelles and Réunion, scheduled to commence on December 30, 2024. This initiative aims to bolster connectivity and promote tourism exchange between the two picturesque islands.

Air Seychelles will operate one weekly direct flight to Réunion on the following dates: December 30, 2024, January 6, 2025, January 13, 2025, and January 18, 2025 which will include a technical stop in Mauritius. The flight schedule has been meticulously designed to cater to travellers seeking to explore the natural beauty and cultural richness of Seychelles.

On December 30, 2024, the flight will depart from Roland Garros Airport at 14:50 and arrive at Seychelles International Airport at 17:25.

On January 6, 2025, January 13, 2025, and January 18, 2025, the flight will depart from Seychelles International Airport at 08:00 and arrive at Roland Garros Airport in Réunion at 10:35. The return flight on these dates will depart from Réunion at 11:35 and arrive in Seychelles at 14:10.

“Building on the positive response received upon announcing the signing of the SPA agreement with Air Austral last month and the succeeding meetings with the travel trade in Reunion, we are delighted to launch this seasonal service to coincide with the holidays and offer a hassle free journey to the Seychelles in time for the new year.” stated Air Seychelles CEO, Mr Sandy Benoiton.

Bernadette Willemin, Director General for Destination Marketing at Tourism Seychelles, expressed excitement about the new flights, stating, "The introduction of Air Seychelles flights to Réunion marks a significant milestone that is set to boost visitor arrivals to Seychelles. This strategic initiative promises Réunionais tourists enhanced accessibility to our pristine beaches, vibrant cultural experiences, and unparalleled attractions, reinforcing Seychelles' position as a premier tourism destination in the Indian Ocean region."

This new route underscores the commitment of Tourism Seychelles and Air Seychelles to facilitate seamless travel experiences and foster greater cultural exchange between Seychelles and Réunion.

Tickets can be purchased from the Air Seychelles Guest Contact Centres, via the website www.airseychelles.com or through preferred travel agents.
