🤎 Last night, I reported to my gate to work a late flight. As the other attendants arrived, we realized we would be an all African American crew. Then, the First officer arrived … and lastly, the Captain. 🤯 We all looked around at each other and took in the moment. We quickly agreed that we’ve never seen this before, but thanks to the diversity in our airline, we’ll soon see it again. Our entire crew is African American!! Wow! 🙌🏾

During the Bad Tour, there was a moment I was devastated when I heard that the Kentucky shows had been canceled. It broke my heart because performing in my hometown meant the world to me. MJ saw how sad wli was. 💔

But just a few days later, the dates were reinstated. To this day, I don’t know if Michael had something to do with it, but I was deeply grateful. ♥️

That moment gave me the chance to invite my entire family. They came backstage, and we took this picture together — my little niece in Michael’s arms, my sister by my side, and my mother smiling with pride. That night wasn’t just about dancing with the King of Pop, it was about sharing a dream with the people I love most. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Thanks MJ Beats for restoring this for me!I 🙏🏿

Prince and The Revolution was an American funk rock band led by Prince, formed in 1979 in Minneapolis. The group’s lineup included Wendy Melvoin (guitar), Lisa Coleman (keyboards), Brown Mark (bass), Bobby Z. (drums), and Dr. Fink (keyboard), all of whom played key roles in creating Prince's revolutionary sound. They released iconic albums, including Purple Rain (1984), which became one of the best-selling albums of all time and featured timeless hits like “When Doves Cry”, “Let's Go Crazy”, and the title track “Purple Rain”. 🌟🎶
The Revolution helped solidify Prince as one of the most innovative and influential artists of all time, blending rock, funk, pop, and R&B in ways that had never been done before. Their performances were electrifying, and their music continues to influence artists today.

In 1986, after the success of their album Parade, the band disbanded, and Prince embarked on a new musical direction. While The Revolution may have parted ways, their legacy in reshaping pop and rock music remains legendary. ✨

For those who are old enough to remember, Elvis Presley released “Hound Dog” in 1956, his biggest worldwide hit record. Few recall that Big Mama Thornton (pictured here) released the song first in 1953. People also remember Chubby Checker introducing the Twist dance craze with his 1960 recording. Few know that Hank Ballard and the Midnighters first released the song in 1959.

The storm was supposed to ruin everything — but Prince turned it into pure magic. As lightning crackled and rain poured over Miami’s Super Bowl stage, he didn’t flinch. Instead, he whispered eight words that have since become legend: “Can you make it rain harder?” What followed was a 12-minute performance so powerful, fans still call it a miracle. 🔗:https://storyhorizon.net/news/108387

Today, Motown Museum celebrates the late Motown songwriter and producer Sylvia Moy!

Joining Motown in 1964, Moy co-wrote classics including "It Takes Two" by Marvin Gaye & Kim Weston, "This Old Heart Of Mine" by the Isley Brothers, "These Things Will Keep Me Loving You" by the Velvelettes, "Ain't No Sun Since You've Been Gone" by the Temptations, and "My Baby Loves Me" by Martha & The Vandellas.

When Little Stevie Wonder's voice began to change, Moy was a champion of the child superstar and lobbied for a chance to write material for his maturing vocal range. Often working in tandem with Henry "Hank" Cosby, the resulting string of hits with Stevie included "Uptight (Everything's Alright)," "I Was Made To Love Her," "Shoo-Be-Doo-Be-Doo-Da-Day," and "My Cherie Amour."

Turn up the music and help us say to Sylvia Moy!

The album cover for The Jacksons' Victory album features a deep midnight blue scene showing the brothers on a road through an interstellar desert.
Due to tensions among the brothers at the time, a photoshoot was canceled, and the illustration was created by artist Michael Whelan.

Michael Jackson personally chose Whelan after being inspired by the cosmic effect on the cover of Isaac Asimov’s book, Foundation’s Edge, and requested a similar look.
Whelan was given detailed instructions on the brothers’ poses and positioning.
At Michael’s request, he placed himself behind his brothers but made his iconic glowing glove and socks stand out to draw attention.

On the first version of the album cover, a white dove appeared on Randy's shoulder, symbolizing the doves released at the start of Victory Tour concerts.
However, due to a shortage of doves during the tour, this element was dropped, and later versions of the album cover no longer featured the dove.
