📢 We are delighted to announce that Prof. Dr. Helen Osborn from University of Reading, UK, will serve as a committee member for the 5th Medicinal Chemistry Symposium ( ): New Trends in Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery, which will be held in , China, from May 14 to 17, 2026.

🎓 Prof. Dr. Helen Osborn is a professor and deputy head of School of Chemistry, Food and Pharmacy at University of Reading. Professor Osborn’s research interests focus on the development of new chemical and enzymatic methods for the treatment of life threatening diseases. Within her current research programs, particular emphasis is placed on the synthesis and biological analysis of i) prodrugs for the selective treatment of cancer and bacterial infections, including prodrugs that are activated via bioorthogonal reactions, or via enzymes, ii) natural products, including novel flavonoid derivatives, iii) carbohydrate based biomarkers, and iv) polymer drug conjugates. She also has long term interests in the development of anti-infective agents, glycosidase enzyme inhibitors, anti-viral agents and personalised medicines.
