I get my JOBs from Clients that Refers me, Not Thru Upwork or OJL. Here's the story..

When I started Freelancing I mostly found my clients thru Upwork,OLJ & Fiverr..

My first Client was a $15/hour Job Offer and I stayed with him for 3 Years.

My Second Client was a $10/hour 40 hours a week Job and I stayed with the company for 1 year

My Third Client from Upwork again is a $100/week Job and I stayed with her for 4 years..

These clients I found them from Upwork.. other short contracts are from Fiverr and OLJ.

Over the years of working with them, we built this thing called TRUST.

To the point that I can Freely enter their Card details to Run their ads. Grabe no ? Ganyan sila ka confident..

Of course because they are so generous with me.. sometimes May mga pa bonus and tips - tips ba tawag dun ?

I exchanged their generosity.. I go above and beyond to help them or sometimes I don't even tell them about the extras I'm doing for them . I treat their business as my own. And I love their businesses..

And so, our relationship becomes something that's beyond a freelancer - employer. It's more like a best buddy online..

We ended our contracts on Upwork because aminin naman natin ang laki laki ng kaltas😅 awang awa sila sa akin.. lols

We switch to becoming a direct client - no contracts, no time trackers, no screenshots of keyboards. Just pure.. deadlines and trust..

That's where it all started,

My long term clients started to recommend me to their friends, families of even random customers they met on their business.

Nagugulat nalang ako May nag ppm na sa akin

"Hi Cherry, I'm reaching out cause I need your help with my Instagram ____ recommend you "

Hanep 🤧🤧🤧

I was able to build my portfolio because of them. I was able to build my knowledge and. Skill because of them

And now I am getting clients because of them too.

Kakaiyak 😭😭😭

Nag sanga sanga na nga ang referrals..

Until na napupunta na ang contact details ko sa ibang industriya haha

And now, I don't use Upwork and other freelancing platforms anymore..

I just post my services and then a client will reach out para mag inquire sa service na yun.

I even post Promos like yesterday.. I had my client only promo, where I gave them a chance to save more money and less worry na if they need to send me their payment.

Parang naging subscription na ang dating haha

So the moral of this story ? TRUST DO NOT BREAK IT. be grateful and give it your all. Your clients may be your boss for now.. but eventually they can become more than that.

Alam ko marami sa atin ang alipin ng salapi..

Just make sure na patas tayo lumaban.. okii ☺️ kasi Good Karma is Better than Bad Karma
