Going down a rabbit hole of comparison culture leading to drastic measures this week.
Barbie, hair removal, p**n, the internet in general - has it ever made you question if you were "normal"? It did to 12,000 Americans in 2016 who had a surgery called l***aplasty, which alters the l***a minora and/or majora (inner and outer vaginal "lips"). Out of those 12,000, 5% were under the age of 16 (that's 500 people in case you're wondering).
There are some l***aplasty procedures that are done out of medical necessity, but since 2016 this surgery has steadily risen by about 14% every year. It's highly doubtful that this increase is made up of necessary surgeries.
No two v***as, labium, vaginas look the same. This body part is not be a problem to be solved. Tell the young'uns.
