Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Project 1, Phase 1
Daniel Elisha George President of the Point Fortin Police Community Council (PFPCC) on the left and Marilyn Ramnarinesingh Councillor for the Cap-de-Ville / F***y Village constituency on the right, have cleared their schedules to be apart of a vibrant CPTED team on Sunday 14th September, at the F***y Village Government Primary School (FVGPS).
Councillor Ramnarinesingh aka Marla (also a member of PFPCC) has a deep interest in crime prevention and is always ready to get involved in relevant initiatives. In a telephone interview with Marla this morning, she expressed that she's willing to do "anything for F***y Village" and further shared the joy she felt in participating in a project that is beneficial to students. She emphasized on her special interest in the welfare of FVGPS and the satisfaction she gets from doing anything she can.
The first CPTED project was completed on Sunday 21st September. Phase 2 video report will be released soon. A second project is already identified by Ag. Sgt. Clifton Thompson who is coordinating CPTED throughout the communities of Point Fortin and other parts of the South Western Division, as mandated by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS). Amongst other police officers, Ag. Sgt. Thompson also took part in the actual labour on both days.
