Y’ALL!!!
Stellar mail day! and hotness has graced my record collection and I want to cry with happiness! It’s no secret that my record collection is mostly dance and mostly French, but Super Discount is one of the super early French Touch albums that really shaped my musical taste. In the 90s , , I:Cube, Laurent Garnier, Martin Solveig and Étienne de Crécy were my musical heroes. I loved this stuff, couldn’t get enough of it, devoured it. I love that artists like You Man make contemporary French Touch (even though Spectrum of Love is almost a decade old) that is reminiscent of those early albums, but new and exciting and tingle-inducing just like the first time I heard Stardust. I love that has a brand new album (not pictured but it’s a banger) and a new generation of French Touch fans are about to be born. I love the thought that there’s gonna be young kids listening to Hyperdrama and saying to themselves “hey these Justice cats are pretty sick, I wonder what else they’ve put out?” Holy s**t! Can you imagine hearing D.A.N.C.E. for the first time as a middle schooler? If they’re anything like I was, it’s gonna blow their minds.
