WE'RE SAFE! WE'RE HEALTHY! WE'RE EMPLOYED. We are so lucky.

We shouldn't be complaining but being grateful and prudent about our opportunities.

We all have our hands that were dealt when we were born, but how do you play your hand??

People will always talk and have their opinion about where you came from, who you are, and even what you can do. But there's the best part. WE DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO THEM!!!

We hope you'll be able to draw value and passion in your own craft, and find your self-acceptance in your passions.

Public speaking is a valuable skill, be it presentations in uni, or interviews at work, it's a handy tool in your arsenal.

But it isn't something people are just born with. It's a trainable skill!!!
Here are 4 tips on how you can train that skill!!

#1: Rehearse
Use key words or points to remember the flow of your speech. DON'T MEMORISE WORD FOR WORD!!! If you're visual, write the key words down on some cards, or you can pace and practice to yourself.

#2: Intonations and pauses
Don't sound like a robot!! Use your voice to indicate importance or suspense like being loud or soft at certain parts. You can even use pauses........ To emphasize effect ;)

#3: Movement and facial expressions
Engaging all of your audience is important. Be sure to captivate everyone and not just the 4 people in front of you. Using your hands to gesture, and your facial expressions to relay emotion really add spice to your speech.

#4: Be relatable
One size doesn't fit all xD Be sure to stay relevant with your target audience. What's their demographic, age group, common interest, commonality etc. You can even use jokes that are specific to them to seem more relatable.

DON'T GIVE UP. Speaking is something all of us can learn :) 加油
