After 24 years at the helm of Beata Beatrix, with whom he will soon release his fourth album, Hatria – singer with Siouxsian vocals and an aggressive and irreverent attitude – returns to the scene with the second single in Italian - "Il Salice".
“This song is a sacred lament, a song of willows crying for a world that has stopped breathing. The chalice, a symbol of a forgotten offering, collects the tears of nature and turns them into a ritual. Between the sacred and the pagan, between the wind that no longer sings and the silence of the gods, the voice becomes an invocation: a call to the memory of the lost divine, to communion with the wounded earth. It's a sonic ritual that seeks union, that turns the wound into legend.”
Alongside her, as always, Crowley, founder of Beata Beatrix and companion in artistic adventures, who intertwines his dream vision with Hatria's histrionic vocality.
“The song has its roots in the Italian dark wave of the 1980s, but gives up synths to embrace a more visceral structure: reverberated guitars, pulsating bass, ritual voice and drums as a sacred drum. A sound that recalls the shadows of a lost era, where the sacred and the pagan merge into a single invocation.”
