Review: Album alert! Album alert! Dubbage comes through his debut long player and it's an unholy adventure through all kinds of dnb dynamics and flavours, all of which you need to hear right now. The title track sets the scene but plays a cool game of restraint, allowing the album to really build in moment and energy. Highlights include the utter roughness of the 'Blow The Roof Up', the steppy edge and intoxicating sense of wonk on 'Malfunction', the deliciously titled and wonderfully off the wall drums of 'Meat Bags' and warm, horn-heaved funk of 'Self Destruction'. What a well accomplished album. Beat the system and start getting busy on these.

Chris Lovell Krusty - Get Out ep. Out now.

Review: Stop clowning around and get down with Krusty, a Bristol badman who was hugely prolific during the late 2010 on Eternal and Stickybass with a high energy jump-up sound. Now back with his most comprehensive EP in some time, he's fine tuned his riffy signature and added a lot more funk and grit. Cuts like 'Get Out' and 'Energy Discharge' have got a heavy swagger that could be compared to T>I or Trex while cuts like 'Finished' hit with a rasping buzzy energy that you might compare to TC in his youth, or a sound you might hear in a Hazard set. Honourable mention to Bobbie Cummines on 'Businessman' for the sample. Job done.

Review: Emerging from Audiofelonzrecords, SI-OTIK carves a distinct sonic direction with his brand new 'Unknown E.P,' where hypnotic atmospheres meet expertly crafted grooves with some serious impact. We begin quickly with a dive into the title track 'Unknown', a moody sprinkling of melodic introduction and face-smashing breakdowns, followed by both the speaker-busting synths of 'Think They Hard' and the hard-hitting drum production of 'Prisoner'. We then continue with the high-octane flavour on the brain-melting reese melodies of 'Falling Back' and sharpened drum smashes of 'Failure', before the squelching bass notation of 'Echo' brings us to a close.

Welcome to Foe's dojo. With no time to warm-up, we're straight into the routines as swords, legs, arms and even teeth fly from every corner. Every tune is a vicious scrap-waiting-to-happen but big highlights in the big drama and sluggy shreds on 'Traitor' while the finger-clicking funk and frogs of '18 Monks' and the pacey energy and venom of 'Water Torture' will sit well in any mix. Game over.
