DIG Udhampur–Reasi Range, DC inaugurate monumental National Flagpole at Slathia Chowk

UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 13: A monumental National Flagpole, measuring 62 feet, has been installed at Ward No. 6, Slathia Chowk, Udhampur by the Slathia community.

The flagpole was jointly dedicated to the nation and inaugurated today by DIG Udhampur–Reasi Range Sarah Rizvi and Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai.

The ceremony was attended by Additional SP Sandeep Bhat, former Councillor Vikram Singh Slathia, representatives of the Beopar Mandal, Chamber of Commerce, prominent citizens, civil society members and the general public of Udhampur town.

On the occasion, the DIG and DC hoisted the National Flag and appreciated the efforts of the Slathia community for this patriotic initiative, congratulating the people of Udhampur district.

The DC informed that the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, launched by the Government, aims to encourage citizens to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it in celebration of the 79th year of India’s Independence. She said the initiative seeks to invoke a deep sense of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in the true spirit of public participation.

Highlighting the importance of the Tricolour, the DC stated that the National Flag represents India’s collective spirit, unity and pride. She urged citizens to protect, preserve and revere this monumental flag as an everlasting source of inspiration for patriotism.

*Mega Tiranga Rally Held at Surinsar: A Grand Celebration of Patriotism and Unity.*

In a spirited celebration of India’s rich patriotic fervor ahead of Independence Day, a Mega Tiranga Rally was held today at the *picturesque and historic tourist destination of Surinsar.* The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, local residents, and the Police personnel of Sub-division Nagrota, turning the serene landscape into a sea of tricolour and resonating patriotic slogans.

*Students from Government Higher Secondary School, Surinsar,* along with the respectable citizens of the area, marched with pride alongside uniformed personnel led by *SP Rural Jammu, Shri Brijesh Sharma,JKPS,SDPO Nagrota, Shri Vinod Kundal, and SHO Jhajjar Kotli,IC PP Manwal* proudly displaying the national flag.

The rally reflected a strong message of unity, communal harmony, and collective pride in the nation's ideals. Participants showcased their commitment to the spirit of the nation, as the atmosphere reverberated with chants of *"Bharat Mata Ki Jai".*

The Tiranga Rally concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution and work towards a united, progressive India.

Majalta:-- National Model Academy Smart Higher Secondary school & J.D.Internation Smart playway school kail ( Pardai) organized a Tiranga Rally under the direction and guidance of the school administration.
SDPO Ramnagar DSP Sultan Mirja (JKPS) & SHO Majalta Inspector Sohan Singh flagged off Tiranga rally.
The rally was held to commemorate independence day and to promote patriotism and national pride among students.
