Stormie | Rossemma Thunderskies of Lilyshire ran at the Kennel Club Open AV (excl Cockers) on the 22nd November 2025 at Manton, Lincs.

She had a lovely first run in Bracken with two contact flushes and a clean retrieve on a hen bird straight out and back no handling.

On her second run it was quite bare cover with leaf litter and ankle high bramble, she had a loose flush and honoured another dogs retrieve, was tried on a runner too but alas no retrieve for Stormie.

I wasn’t sure if her second run would’ve knocked her out of the awards as it wasn’t the best but I was delighted to come away with a Certificate of Merit for her, making her officially an OFTAW.

Apologies for the radio silence this past few months but we have been busy!

On 20th June Stormie gave birth to a litter of 7 puppies, 5 boys and 2 girls. They have all gone to such wonderful homes and I can now get cracking on with my pick of the litter.

Renfri | Darklass Asteria of Lilyshire ran in two Puppy tests back to back this weekend on the 17th & 18th of May at the Chiltern Gundog Society at the Priestly Shoot and Cambridgeshire Field Trial Society at Abbots Ripton Estate. She came away two awards across both days with 1st & 2nd place 🏆🥈

*Results I forgot to post*

Both Stormie & Renfri | FTW Rossemma Thunderskies of Lilyshire & Darklass Asteria of Lilyshire ran at the Chiltern Gundog Society Open & Puppy tests on the 22nd March at the Portman Burtley estate.

Renfri came away with a COM in the puppy and Stormie excelled in the Open taking 1st place 🏆

Stormie | Rossemma Thunderskies of Lilyshire ran at the East Midlands Gundog Club Open A/V Spaniel Working Test yesterday at Coughton.

With a card of 22 dogs in a beautiful mix of bracken / woodland. The dogs were put to the test with a memory retrieve and a blind on one run and then two directional retrieves on the second.

I couldn’t have asked for more from Stormie she required no handling on her retrieves and we had brilliant comments about her hunting, with only one point behind the win she came away with 2nd place.

Not too bad for our first test of the year! 🥈
