NOT JUST THE JAPAINGS, I BEG YOUR PARDON.
July 13th marked exactly one year since I moved back to Nigeria after 25 years in America.
I remember that day like it was yesterday - the mix of emotions: excitement, uncertainty, hope, and yes, a little fear.
People asked if I was sure. If I'd thought it through.
If I knew what I was getting into.
The honest answer was no. I didn't know everything I was getting into.
But I knew why I was doing it: to contribute to improving access to world-class orthopedic care in Nigeria.
Twelve months later, here's what that decision has become:
→ Ortho Nigeria International (a.k.a The O.N.I. Clinic) is thriving with patients from across the country
→ We're training the next generation of Nigerian surgeons
→ We've performed procedures that are changing lives.
→ We're proving that excellence has no geographical boundaries
This past year hasn't been easy. Building something from scratch never is.
But it's been the most fulfilling year of my professional life.
Sometimes the scariest decisions become the most meaningful ones.
What decision are you afraid to make that might change everything?
