New 7-Eleven opens at Adventure Crossing USA
"This is our first 2.0 prototype store to break ground in the United States and to open today in the town of Jackson," said Chris McLaughlin, 7-Eleven's market leader for its corporate stores in New Jersey and New York. "This truly is a beautiful store. A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into building this property from the ground up, but I know that's going to translate into Slurpees, cookies and hot dogs."
7-Eleven executives and township officials, as well as the developer and store's builder, held a grand opening ceremony last Thursday.
"This weekend, we're going to have 11 states playing softball here," said Cardinale, president of Cardinale Enterprises. "If you're going to get on (Interstate) 195 and it's a four-hour, three-hour ride (home), this is going to be a perfect place to stop, get your gas, get your food."
Jackson Mayor Michael Reina hailed the economic growth created by the new 7-Eleven. "We're developing an economy right here," Reina said. "The economy is going to flourish all throughout Monmouth and Ocean county. The entire Adventure Crossing project will produce over 3,000 jobs and when complete will be the single largest taxpayer in the history of Jackson Township."
