Why, hello! The Red Circle app told us that this week we passed 7000 downloads of episodes of the Return to Snakeland podcast - that's Apple Podcasts (mostly) and Spotify and the like. That's not even including the 11,000 downloads that Wordpress states have come from our main website (but both Aaron and I kinda doubt their record keeping so let's settle on half that, or 5500). Kind of incredible when you consider this was accomplished with NO ADVERTISING whatsoever, mostly by word-of-mouth and a handful of podcast appearances and a couple of features (thank you Benjamin Joe at 1120 Press and Newell Nussbaumer at Buffalo Rising) and of course, Stephen Floyd at Gutter Pop Comics and Emily Jp (who referenced us in her Master's Thesis) and the professor at Canisius who used the RtS Graphic Novel as the primary text in his "The Graphic Novel as Literature" class and the local band Snakeland who used our work in the liner notes of their excellent album Panamerican! and, above all, all of you truly kind and supportive folks who paid for the Kickstarter for the first run of the RtS Graphic Novel a decade ago and started all this crazy bu****it. Every week I check, and every week there are new visits to the site, new downloads of the podcast and visitors from new countries (which could be bots, but hey! maybe we are big in Belgium!) so for whatever reason Return to Snakeland just will not die and Aaron O'Brian and I will never stop thanking you folks WHO HAVE BEEN KIND ENOUGH TO SUBSCRIBE TO OUR FB PAGE for that.
