Our goal is to help writers network and develop their skills. We're based in Kansas City, but we have members all over the United States. HACWN.org

We started in 1989 to help writers learn to write for publication, and to help them network with editors and others. Our organization includes people from beginning writers to award winners; newbies to those who've been published for decades. We offer monthly educational meetings, critique groups in different parts of the city, annual conferences, mentoring retreats, community education classes, e-mail marketing leads, monthly newsletter, and more! ATTENTION folks in the Harrisonville/Kansas City area. In honor of May being mental health month, I'll be hosting a mental health awareness event at the Cass County Public Library- Harrisonville Branch next Saturday, May 17, from 10-2. Come and go as you like! I'll have lots of materials available related to mental health, solutions and coping skills, local resources, and Christian materials. This will also be a book signing event. I'll have my self-published books as well as some Guideposts publications containing articles I wrote for the book. Hope to see you there!
