Our camera roll on the Eyre Peninsula 📸

We loved our little Fujifilm camera to capture ‘behind the scene’ moments on our travels, such a game changer we only wish we had it for the whole trip! 😩

This was one of those “are we on another planet?” moments. Our first time walking out on a salt lake, where the horizon melts into the sky, and it felt like a dream 💭

On another note, we took some awesome photos of ourselves out here with the tripod set up. But the next day when we looked at them we were out of focus in every. single. one. 🫠

We rolled into the Gawler Ranges with zero expectations and left completely blown away. Towering rocks, fiery colours, and not a soul around — just the way we like it.

These shots are at the Organ Pipes & Pildappa Rock, definitely worth the detour!

A few more snaps from our time in the Kennedy Ranges. Camping up on the rugged cliffs was a highlight, insane views with the best company.

Definitely worth the detour from Carnarvon, although I’d only recommend it to those with a 4wd so you can get to all the spots!

As much as we love the coast, there’s just something about the colours and textures once you head inland. This was one of our favourite little spots in the Kennedy Ranges, such a fascinating rock formation and only a short walk from the car park.

Golden hour at Charles Knife Canyon. I don’t think there are many sunset spots that top this one…but I’m open to suggestions! 🫢

We ran out of time to go here on our first trip to Exy, this time we made it a priority and even went back twice. The photos just don’t do it justice, it’s even more stunning in person. So don’t be like us and make sure you go!!

‘Where’s Wally’ but make it ‘Where’s Mitch’ 👀

Finding new ways to capture iconic spots is one of the best parts of travel photography.

Places like Charles Knife Canyon have been captured by so many, but we love the challenge of adding our own creative touch.

When we first did the Knife Edge hike, I knew we had to come back and capture it from this angle. So Mitch hit the trail again (with some new friends) while I stayed back to capture it across the canyon.

What do you think? Are these shots worth the effort?

It feels so surreal being back on the road, getting back into the groove of camping and finally picking up the camera again 🐚

It would simply be rude of us to not kick things off with a few early morning shots at Turquoise Bay 🩵
