A glimpse of poet's heaven.
"Problem is, I didn't read the manuscript." I said to Sonny while we were walking by the hallway in that castle-like building. The place looked medieval.
"So tatanga-tanga ka pala ngayong umaga." Sonny responded laughing.
"Well, I still have time to cram this morning so I could comment properly." I said looking at the nice quiet corners where I could ensconce myself like a prince and read.
"Well, no problem with that." Sonny said with a smile.
"Hmmm... There's another problem..." I said feeling a bit more awake in that dream-like place.
"What's that?" Sonny asked.
"Well for one, you are already dead." I said, all of a sudden becoming fully awake in that dream.
"Ah, oo nga." Sonny answered calmly and with an air of acceptance.
We turned towards the orchard. With the giant double-door wide open, I could see the sunlight illuminating the leaves and flowers. It made everything colorful.
Sonny proceeded towards the orchard while I remained by the doorway. Touching the flowers as he walked, he then turned towards me. I realized I could not join him. "I think, this is it for now. I don't think I should go where you are. See you when I see you, Tol. But not yet hahaha!" I said laughing.
He walked farther until he was far away. So far away that he seemed small. Sonny always appeared tall and big to me. Then he said: "Yes, bye Bro..."
I waved goodbye. I had to jump to make sure he could see me waving. I jumped as if I wanted to fly. "Bye Sonny! Bye Brother..."
I went back towards where I came. Along the way, I noticed another giant double door. The doors were ajar so I peered inside. The chamber was a huge library and again, I saw Sonny. He was occupying the table near the doorway. He was discussing a book with a man, a caucasian who looked like Shakespeare.
"Hey, nice spot you got there Sonny! So this is how a poet's heaven looks like!" I said excitedly after seeing him again.
"Yes, one of the perks here, hahaha!" He said laughing. Shakespeare nodded at me with some kind of wise sparkle in his eyes.
"But I better not open this double-door wider. Something here might go there and something there might come here. And hey, where's Sir Cirilo?" I said after realizing that the National Artist could be there as well.
"Oh, he's not here right now but he's just in there." Sonny replied, pointing at some huge doors that seemed to lead to another area in the castle.
"Sayang, wala siya riyan ngayon kasama mo. Now I better close this door and go." I said.
I woke up as soon as I closed the giant double-door.
