Two other pieces of debris were recently found by farmers at neighbouring properties, after a loud bang was heard in the region on July 9.

The sonic boom was believed to be caused by the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, which was launched in November 2020, re-entering Earth's atmosphere.

WHAT THE?!... A large piece of debris found in the middle of a sheep paddock could be space junk from a SpaceX mission. 😲☄️

Mick Miners, who runs a sheep farm in the NSW Snowy Mountains, stumbled across the almost three metre high object wedged into a remote part of his paddock while mustering sheep on Monday.

The Tasmanian Government will remove its remaining COVID restrictions over the next few weeks.

From this Saturday the 18th of June, masks won’t need to be worn inside the state’s airports, although they’ll still be required on planes.

The mask mandate will be dropped for schools, childcare centres, public transport and the Spirit of Tasmania ferries from next Friday the 24th.

On the 30th of June the state’s Public Health Emergency declaration will be removed, and mask-wearing in hospitals, aged care and correctional facilities will be based on risk assessments at each location.
Cruise ships will return to the state in October this year.
