MediaTek has announced the launch of a new chip, Kompanio 1300T. Tablet computers powered by the Kompanio 1300T platform are expected to be announced in the third quarter of 2021. The Kompanio 1300T chip is built on TSMC's 6nm process technology and integrates an octa-core CPU with high-performance Arm Cortex-A78 cores and power-efficient Arm Cortex-A55 cores.

Astrophysicists have found an oversized black hole population of more than 100 in the centre of a unique star cluster called Palomar 5. It was discovered in 1950. It is older than 10 billion years, like most other globular clusters, meaning that it formed in the earliest phases of galaxy formation. It is about 10 times less massive and five times more extended than a typical globular cluster and in the final stages of dissolution.
