Jeff Ransdell, our Miami Real Estate Podcast tech correspondent, joins us for another insightful episode. 🎙

Jeff is a serial entrepreneur, former Wall Street warrior, angel investor, and venture capitalist building a portfolio of exponential technology companies through Fuel Venture Capital, which he co-founded in 2017 after leaving private wealth management. He takes a “founder-focused, investor-driven” approach to venture capital, emphasizing mentorship to equip founders with the tools to thrive in the competitive creative economy while serving Fuel's Limited Partners as a fiduciary.

As Managing Director and Market Executive at Merrill Lynch, Jeff managed over $130 billion in global private client investment assets, a $1.5 billion P&L, and over 2,000 employees across the Southeast Wealth Management Division, covering Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. His transition to venture capital was motivated by the realization that opportunities to shape the economy and capitalize on innovation were increasingly shifting from public to private markets.

Choosing Miami as the home base for Fuel Venture Capital long before it became trendy, Jeff leveraged the city’s untapped resources. Today, Fuel manages a $185 million multi-focused fund with 23 global startups, including Soundtrack Your Brand, PredaSAR, Ubicquia, and Bolt Mobility, and a $100 million Fintech Growth Fund focused on leading fintech companies like Curve Card, Regargapay, Tradeshift, and Taxfyle in partnership with IDC Ventures, one of Europe's leading VC firms.

Licensed by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Jeff covers all asset classes, including venture capital, financial planning, publicly traded securities, and supervision of broker-dealers. He also serves as an expert witness in many FINRA and SEC-related securities arbitrations.
