Wax Idiotical Films Boston Based indie film makers. Led by Mark Marshall and Kyp Pilalas, Wax Idiotical is small collective of talented filmmaking friends.

WI specializes in producing shorts for the international 48 Hour Film Project, having created nearly 30 films as a part of the competition. They have been dubbed the "winningest team" by the creator of the 48HFP, notably having been invited to the "Best Of [City]" screenings with each film they have submitted. Though the 48-hour time constraint works in their favor, WI also produces longer and lar

ger scale films, and creates video for commercial and nonprofit entities, weddings, and other momentous occasions. Mark and Kyp are currently working on a feature-length script.

There were a lot of close votes from our judges and audiences but you can now find the line-up (and tickets) for next week's 2025 Boston 48 Hour Film Project Best Of & Awards Show at https://www.2025boston48.com/ featuring the most nominated and/or awarded movies from our wild filmmaking weekend -- and stay tuned! The full list of nominations (including some runner-up prizes) will be announced at the event on June 9th when online and in person audiences will determine our final award: this year's Best Poster winner!
