There was a time when I was afraid to speak up. I let fear and self-doubt put me in a box, convincing myself I wasn’t enough. For so long, I stayed there, silent, waiting for something to change.
But nothing ever changes unless we take action. I learned that speaking up, even when it’s uncomfortable, is the only way to make things happen.
Over and over, when I share my journey as a bilingual professional during speaking engagements, I remind myself of that turning point. The day I realized fear isn’t the enemy—it’s just part of the process. It’s a sign I’m growing, moving toward something bigger.
Have you ever had a dream so vivid, so real, that you felt you could do anything? That’s how I felt the moment I stopped letting fear dictate my life and started trusting myself.
Speaking at schools is one of the most rewarding experiences because it feels like I’m speaking to a younger version of me. I get to look at those students and tell them, “Girl, you’ve got this. You are enough. You can do this.”
And now I ask you:
What’s holding you back from stepping out of your box? What would you do if fear wasn’t part of the equation?
Let’s make it happen—one brave step at a time.
