Flood in Bangladesh already killed at least 15 people. A total of 43 upazilas in several districts have been affected by the flash floods, and about 1,89,663 families have been marooned. (number may increase with time)

Our heartfelt condolences to the families who loss their loved ones.This is the longest 5 days Sayeeda and me went without seeing each other because of the relentless situation in Bangladesh. We were able to talk directly over phone but it was bad in quality with limited period of time and even though internet connection came back recently but it works poor. We have friends who are in a long distance relationship like us been through a tough time and we are communicating with them back and forth. We shall remain strong and positive for each other during this difficult circumstances. Remind one another that better days are coming!

স্টোরি টাইম ☕️

সামাজিক মাধ্যমে আমাদের সম্পর্ক নিয়ে যেসব মন্দ সমালোচনা শুনি তা গায়ে লাগেনা। হোক সেটা হাসি ঠাট্টায় কিংবা সত্যি একই ছাদের নিচে থাকা কিছু মানুষদের বিষজনিত/তেতো কথা আমার আর রায়ান এর সম্পর্ক নিয়ে শুনে যে পরিমাণ অপমান হয়েছি কিন্তু কখনো তাদের কাছ থেকে অপালজী পাইনি আর আশাও করিনা। পেলেও তাতে কোনো অর্জন নেই কারণ এ ধরণের ক্ষত একবার সৃষ্টি হয়ে গেলে তা থেকে আরোগ্য লাভ করা যায় না বরং পচন ধরে। যেমন ধরো, রায়ান কত রোজগার করে? বলতে হবেই বলে বলা। “হুঃ! তেমন বেশি না!” বলে নাক সিঁটকানো। আমি তো রীতিমতো অবাক! কিছু বলতে আর প্রয়োজন মনে করেনি।
লোক মুখে শোনা, আমাদের বাংলাদেশে ছোটো করে যে বিয়ের অনুষ্ঠান হয়েছিল তা তে ইন্ডিয়ান আর চাইনিজ মিক্সড খাবারের আয়োজন করি সাধারণ একটা রেস্টুরেন্ট এ। বিষয় টা নাকি কিছুসংখ্যক অতিথি বেশ ছোট চোখে দেখেছে আর বলেছে, “এই বিয়ে তে কেউ খেতে যাচ্ছেনা, শুধু বর অর্থাৎ রায়ান কে দেখতে যাবে।”
আমাদের বিয়ে হয় ২০২২ এ কিন্তু এখন পর্যন্ত আমি বাংলাদেশ এ কি করি? “প্রতারণার শিকার হলাম না তো!”“আমাকে কী ব্যবহার করলো কিনা?” “রায়ান মনে হয় আর আসবেনা দেশ এ!” “রায়ান দেখতে অসুন্দর! বুড়া বুড়া লাগে।” “আমার যেই জামাই! বিয়ে করে এমনেই লস এ আছি।”

জিহ্বা বলতে মানবজাতির একটি পেশীবহুল অঙ্গসরূপ অস্ত্র আছে। ইচ্ছা অনিচ্ছায় আমরা এটাকে যেভাবে ব্যবহার করি! পজিটিভ ভাবে ব্যবহার করলে মনে হয় এটাকে কোনো ঔষধ থেকে কম বলা যেত না।পৃথিবীটা আরও বেশি সুন্দর হতো।
