John 12:24 “Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.”
Sometimes, someone has to die for others to live. Jesus did so. His death brought life, eternal life to me and to countless others.
The saints, then and now, became martyrs. They died for their belief in their Savior but their deaths were not in vain. In the second century, during the height of the Christian persecution, Tertullian said, “the blood of the martyrs was the seed of the church.” These men did not die for nothing. Their death brought forth the church.
Today, the death of Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol, was also like that “kernel of wheat” that fell to the ground and died. He died but his death isn’t going to end or stop the life of the PMCC (4th Watch).
Rather, his death is serving as a catalyst to bring life, growth, and progress to us, the true church of Jesus Christ!
His death will prove our critics, naysayers and detractors wrong. The passing away of our beloved and late Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol wasn’t a debacle, but it was a necessary for him to spur the greater growth of the church.
As much as the church wanted him to live forever with us, but it was strategic move of God to take away one of His generals. He is no longer with us. But the AATF left a life giving legacy to me and to the church.
Now, as seeds ourselves. We must also embrace righteous sufferings and hardships, even die if necessary so that others might live. We must never be afraid to face our daily but light troubles, hardships and struggles so that life will abound in us and for others!
Thank you, Apostle ATF for giving your life for the cause of Jesus and the church. The church and I will remain faithful to your life-giving legacy! Live on!
