The latest episode of FTR70 is in your podcast feed now! Obviously, Debbie Harry is a badass, which came in handy when Blondie played CBGB in the 70s. The iconic club that gave space for punk and new wave music was in a rough neighborhood in New York. She said the club was so disgusting that it was distracting to even play there! 50 years ago this week: Pink Floyd releases “Wish You Were Here.” Most of it is comprised of their ode to Syd Barrett, “Shine on You Crazy Diamond.” Of course, critics were perplexed but fans didn’t care what critics thought! Go all the way back to Episode 20 of FTR70 for more on 70s prog rock. FYI — the stuntman who was on fire for the cover died last month.

The latest FTR70 episode is in your podcast feed now! Do you know the 7 words you can never say on television? 😁 George Carlin did & discussed them with Johnny Carson on the tonight show, not long after he was arrested for saying them on a stage in Milwaukee. This episode takes a look at 70s talk shows, including how Nixon killed funding for Soul! & threatened PBS.
