The coverage continues as Brian Henson has spoken about that The Jim Henson Company is still exploring new ways to continue The Dark Crystal’s story.

I do believe the big issue is Netflix owning the rights to Age of Resistance, once the rights revert back to the Jim Henson Company (if it ever does revert back to them 100%) that I think they would be able to move forward should they want to continue the story from Age of Resistance.

I feel that they need to wrap the story left untold after Age of Resistance before if they ever decide to revive Power of the Dark Crystal (or any sequel story that takes place after the original film). I had always thought they could tell other stories from distant past of Age of Resistance whilst they’re awaiting to have full ownership to the show - Phil

6 years ago today, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance brought us back to Thra with 10 fantastic episodes of television, hence the tribute with showcase of the title cards for each episode.

There’s never been a tv show like Age of Resistance and who knows if there ever will be. Much like how there’s never been a film like The Dark Crystal.

I’m so grateful for the show and thank you to everyone who worked on The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

And if you're super nerdy like us about the Dark Crystal, you know how "3's" appear all over the mythos of Thra (and what is 9 but three threes)! The Sun card signifies optimism, the triumphant emergence of light after darkness, and victorious fulfillment. The Sun is life energy in its purest form!

In this deck, the card is represented by the Three Suns (or the "brothers"), shining above Vliste Staba, the Great Tree of Grot. How perfectly fitting to represent hope and victory in the sunlight, the tree emerging from the dark caves and into the bright warmth, the start of Deet's heroic journey and a beacon of light ahead of shadow.
