There are few things better than visiting a school filled with bright students and the chance to teach them about Great Armenians of the past. Today we visited where we read about Raffi, Khrimian Hayrik, and Monte Melkonian and then made some Great Armenians bookmarks.

There are few things in life better than books or burgers. did the only sensible thing and combined them into one fun-filled day! We were so excited to read our Monte board book and to talk to these exceptional little ones about Artsakh and its many heroes at the Chamlian Books and Burgers event. 🍔 📕

We love an Easter egg. For the Great Armenians for Kids series, we love to make little nods to past figures to show that each person is connected to the other in some way. Can you spot the Easter egg in the Monte book and tell us who it references?

With each of our books, we try to introduce themes that were important to the figure so your child learns not just about the life of the book’s subject, but also about the Armenian world they were living in. With the Monte board book, your little one will also have the chance to learn about the Artsakh Liberation Movement and how Monte was a part of that larger effort.
