Another week, another time I'm late on a podcast 🤦🏼♂️ Gotta love adulting, am I right?! Love the transparency in this next episode. I've been doing this for 3 1/2 years now. Sometimes I wonder why I continue to do this. And a main reason is because of people like Kolby Franklin. To help tell his story and allow him a platform to share his trials and tribulations so they might help another athlete who's going through adversity. Also, my guests keep me motivated and help me push through tough times. Whenever I hear some of the stuff these athletes and/or coaches have been through yet they still battle to make the best of the situation, it drives me to overcome any challenge I may be facing. And I hope the same rings true for my listeners. Alright, I'll get off my soap box. Please welcome Kolby Franklin to the podcast!
Kolby is from DuBois, PA and put together one heck of a career. He was a Fargo champ, a 3x Ironman placewinner, a prep state champion. He also won two college opens as a senior in high school. Kolby chose to attend the University of Iowa. However, after dealing with a series of neck injuries, Kolby decided to medically forfeit from the sport. Although his competing career came to an end, Kolby found a new passion in coaching, as he is now a coach at the Hawkeye Wrestling Academy.
