Devotional: Remember Christ's eternal victory: Look up to Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords!

As we see and hear bad news in this world, let us remember Whose we are and ask the Lord for His eternal perspective with Christ's unstoppable victory in mind.

Enter God's presence with complete reliance on Christ. Too often, we human beings approach prayer as though we're God. But we are not. God is the One who lovingly created us. He alone is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. He sees everything and everyone from a timeless perspective. Eternity. That's a concept we frequently forget because it's so incomprehensible in our human state full of temporary distractions. But eternity is what we all need to remember as we follow our loving, perfect Lord and Savior.

God is God. We are not. But we who know Christ also know immeasurable love and security as God's beloved children.

Think of it: God desires us to enjoy Him as our perfect Parent who loves us and never forsakes us! His arms are open to us. In return, let's be sure to forsake childishness and embrace childlike faith: "But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and He said to them, 'Allow the children to come to Me; do not forbid them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these" (Mark 10:14).

With that posture of a child of the King of kings who guarantees victory for all who know Him, let us draw near and earnestly pray how He taught us to pray.

“Pray, then, in this way:

‘Our Father, who is in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come,

Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

‘Give us this day our daily bread.

‘And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors [letting go of both the wrong and the resentment].

‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.]'" (Matthew 6:9-13).

Feel like you can't take it? Take it to the Lord.
With Him, you have more than it takes!
("Take God's Word For It" is a weekly devotional by Stacie Ruth Stoelting Hudzinski.)

Feel like you can't take it? Take it to the Lord. With Him, you have what it takes to do what He's called you to do. Trust Him more than feelings! God is more than able to enable you to do the good work He has planned for you to do here on earth. We must get our eyes off of ourselves and instead fix our eyes on Him. Amen?

Take His Word for it: "And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity" (2 Corinthians 9:8, AMP).

I have experienced this Scripture in my life: When I wrote my first book (Still Holding Hands) at the age of fifteen, I didn't know everything about the process. I just wanted to share my grandparents' God-given love story and victory in Christ over the effects of Alzheimer's disease. I wanted to help others feel less alone and to know Jesus personally.

Many high hurdles landed on my path. Yet the Lord lifted me over them in order to reach the final destination of publication. With strong motivation, I learned quickly and the Lord opened doors for me to share Him on a national level and begin our national outreach to hurting hearts.

But what if I had decided to stare at the hurdles instead of looking up to Jesus? If I hadn't trusted Him, I would have missed out on seeing people come to know Him and receive His comfort through our testimony. And I continue to write, speak, and sing to share Him all while I give Him all (yes, all) of the credit!

God chose to create you. He sent Jesus to save you. So dismiss your doubts and accept His help today. With Him, you can do what He's called you to do!

If you don't know Jesus personally, none of what I've been talking about will make any sense to you. But I have Good News: It's not too late to come to Christ. Jesus Christ said, "...the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, never reject anyone who follows Me]" (John 6:37, AMP). Click here to learn more.

Focus on the Love of God on Mother's Day
(A devotional by Stacie Stoelting Hudzinski)

Mother's Day arrives soon. Whether it's a special one or an especially difficult one, let me remind you, my family members in Christ: God sees you. He cares how you feel. He wants you to remember His Word is true. So real. He loves you, and even the best of Mother's Days on earth can't compare to the rewards and beauty of eternity with Christ. He is with you. He is for you. Let Him hold you tenderly. He has said, "I have loved you with an everlasting love..."

Is your heart hurting? He wants to comfort you in a way that is even superior to the most ideal mother on earth. His comfort exceeds all description. He offers you Himself.

In our fast-paced world, emotions feel more intense and less traceable. Perhaps you find yourself feeling things you thought you'd long ago overcome. This could be a signal to you that God wants to heal you more deeply than ever. He wants you because He loves you more than any writer could describe in a devotional or all of the devotionals ever written. He loves you in a way that exceeds all of the best descriptions in the best greeting cards! He proved it when He suffered in our place on the cross. Yes, His love is a proven love. It is a "can't run away from it" love. It is a love that gushes and overflows!

Today, intentionally take a break from the noise and your favorite distractions (e.g., tech stuff). Grab a hardcopy of the Bible (yes, a hardcopy) and open it to I Corinthians 13. Ask the Lord to help you understand His love more deeply and personally.

Welcome Him into every crevice of your heart. Repent. And relish in the presence of the One who will return to make all things right. He loves you. He really, really, really does.

(FYI: You can know for sure that you'll go to Heaven if you know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord. He said that He's the only Way to Heaven. And He never lied. Click here to learn more at https://peacewithgod.net/steps/)

Take God's Word to heart:

"As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you..." (Isaiah 66:13)

"The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, 'The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness..." (Exodus 34:6).

Devotional Excerpt: "The Lord wants to set you free. Don't allow past pain to grow into present paranoia to imprison you from experiencing God's best for you now. You are loved by God. He cares. And real Christians love you and care, too. Leave room for misunderstandings to be clarified. Be wise, but don't freeze in fear-based skepticism when encountering encouragement and hope in Christ."

Devotional Excerpt:
Overwhelmed? Sad? Jesus never runs away
when we feel that way and run to Him.
Trust Him with me.

>>>"Take God's Word For It" is a weekly devotional by Stacie Ruth Stoelting Hudzinski.

"casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries,
and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him,
for He cares about you [with deepest affection,
and watches over you very carefully]" (I Peter 5:7, AMP).

Overwhelmed? Sad? Jesus never runs away when we feel that way and run to Him. Instead, He stays and asks us to throw our heavy loads to Him --casting it all on Him. All of the mess and messy feelings resulting from any kind of suffering. Nothing is too much for Him.

Today, remember to be "casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]" (I Peter 5:7, AMP).

You are not a statistic to God. You are His creation. Jesus does love you.

You are not your job, your role, your talent, your status. You are God's image-bearer. His special creation. And Jesus Christ Himself suffered immeasurably on the cross for you. And me, too.

Here's a thought that I had as I have dealt with some serious health issues throughout my life (all of which I was born with): If God spared us from everything and we consequently totally ignored and rejected Him, we would miss out on the ultimate Gift of eternal life in the presence of Jesus Christ Himself. Wow. That's a perspective changer! He never wastes our suffering. He always cares about our suffering, too.

He is with you and me. He is for us. He won't let us down. He'll carry us through. This season will pass. He has good plans for you. He loves you. Trust Him. And rest.

"Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us" (Psalm 62:8, ESV).

Devotional; Our Heavenly Father waits for us, too.

Are you waiting on the Lord today? I am. He listens tenderly and cares how we wait: "O Lord, all my longing is before you; my sighing is not hidden from you" (Psalm 38:9).

Of course, we all know we must wait on the Lord. And we get in trouble when we rush things and don't wait. There are countless examples in Scripture about that.

But have you considered how God waits for us? He waits for us to turn to Him more deeply, more unreservedly. He waits for us to understand more and more fully that He loves us no matter what. He waits for us to obey His Word out of love for Him and not legalism. He waits on us to stop resisting His comfort. Oh, how He wants to comfort you and me: He is so compassionate and 100% eternally trustworthy. Yes, He waits for us believers to trust Him as the perfect parent (our heavenly Father!) who always wants what is the ultimate best for us with eternity in mind.

Really soak in God's Word with me in Isaiah 30:18. Take God's Word to heart:

"And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!"

Today, let's wait for Him and thank Him for waiting for us, too. For us who know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, we know the best is always yet to be!

The suffering of Christ exceeds our best understanding. So does His victory! Accept Him as Savior and Lord and experience His full acceptance. In Christ, we belong. He never turns away one who truly turns to Him. We only need to turn from sin and turn to God's Son. He loves us. He wants us. The cross puts that point across. Yes, God sees and loves each one of us in every situation. He made us. And He made the Way for us.
