1910 GLOBE ELKS BUILDING/JONES MORTUARY
6 HOUR PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION
WITH OVERNIGHT OPTION AVAILABLE!
SATURDAY, August 23rd
7 P.M. TO 1 A.M (with the overnight option available to add to 6 hour Investigation)
The Globe Elks/Jones Mortuary-Funeral Home was built in 1910 and is a location rich in Dark History.
AZ Ghost Adventures has had the unique opportunity to conduct multiple Investigations in this historic building and had encountered Paranormal activity in many locations of the building including: A spirit named Jim in the Morgue/Basement area that we believe may be a previous Owner/Mortician, The spirit of a woman named Eleanor who we encountered in the Administrative room, who met her untimely demise at the hands of her spouse, and an angry spirit that resides in the upstairs Elks Meeting room (where men were only allowed). This spirit was strong enough to slam a door!
During two previous Investigations at this building, both a Team Member & a Guest saw a Shadow figure ascending the main stairs, and we frequently heard disembodied footsteps in another empty stairwell! We also experienced interacting with a Spirit who we believe to be 'Doc' Hammond (he still mourns the loss of his brother Tom). It is believed that Doc and Tom are considered the ‘Founders’ of Globe, and Tom was the first burial in the Globe cemetery.
During the Investigation we will participate in the 11 o’clock Elk’s toast and several times have experienced a burst of energy and equipment activity in the Initiation Room at 11 p.m. It was in that room and at that hour that the Elks would give a toast to those Members that had passed…
The upstairs floors house rooms that were used by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, while the downstairs/basement area was used over the years by two separate Mortuary/Funeral Businesses. It was in the basement where bodies were prepared, and services were held in the adjacent hall on the main level.
This Investigation will include both Group and Independent Investigation time, and you will be provided with Professional Paranormal Equipment to use. If you are spending the night please feel free to bring a cot/sleeping bag – You never know if a Spirit will decide to join you for a nap!
